Auditions for Matilda the Musical 

will be held by appointment only during one of the following dates:

April 8 between 10am – 3pm

April 10 between 5 – 10pm

April 13 between 5 – 10pm

All auditions are held at US Digital, located at 1400 NE 136th Ave., Vancouver  98684.

Video auditions will be accepted from out-of-town auditioners.  Contact h.bode@journeytheater.org to make arrangements for a video submission.

Callbacks are by invitation at Summit View Church, 7701 NE 182nd Ave., Vancouver  98682, on April 15 from 3 – 9pm.

 

Performances will be held at the Garver Theater, 1500 NE Garfield St., Camas  98607 on the following dates:

Friday, August 4 at 7pm
Saturday, August 5 at 2pm and 7pm
Thursday, August 10 at 7pm
Friday, August 11 at 7pm
Saturday, August 12 at 2pm

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Performers age 8 and up are welcome to audition.  Please prepare 16 bars  (about 30 seconds) of a musical theatre song that shows off vocal range and technical ability. We will not allow songs to be performed a cappella. Please bring an instrumental track (downloaded audio file – no streaming, please). If you are auditioning for a specific role, please be familiar with the songs from the show, as you may be asked to sing a selection at auditions.  All auditioning MUST bring a current headshot and resume in addition to audition forms.  Auditions will be closed. 

Production Fee:  $155 per cast member age 8 – 18.  $50 per cast member age 19 and up.   

Each cast member must be represented by a volunteer Production Committee member (to serve on Costumes, Sets, Props, Refreshments, Programs, Public Relations, etc.). Volunteers will receive 1 ticket.  

REHEARSALS will be held at Summit View Church, 7701 NE 182nd Ave., Vancouver  98682.

There will be Thursday evening dance rehearsals: June 22, 29, July 13 and 20 between 5 – 9 pm.
Friday rehearsals will be between 5 – 9pm.  Saturday rehearsals will be between 9am – 2pm.
Not all actors will be called to all rehearsals.  If conflicts are listed on the audition form, they will be excused if cast.
PRODUCTION COMMITTEES
There are two mandatory meetings that will take place on June 9 at 6:30 pm and July 21 at 6:30 pm.  Both will be at Summit View Church.

AT THE THEATER
Move in: July 29
Dress Rehearsals: July 31, August 1, 2, 3 and 4 from 5:30 – 9:30pm.

CREW
We are looking for crew!  If you are not cast in the show this session and are at least 12 years old, we would love your help! Our shows need Technical Crew and Backstage Crew. Unfortunately, we cannot always use everyone who applies to crew. Crew members MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK EVERY DRESS REHEARSAL AND EVERY SHOW.
